Constant Group recently welcomed Bev Craig to its Oldham headquarters as part of her mayoral campaign, providing an opportunity to showcase the work being carried out across the business and the role manufacturing continues to play in Greater Manchester.
Bev, who was elected Mayor of Greater Manchester in July 2026, visited Constant Group as part of her campaigning and engagement with businesses across Greater Manchester.
During the visit, she met with members of the Constant Group team and toured the company's facilities, learning more about how the family-owned business has evolved from its sheet metal fabrication roots into a specialist engineering and manufacturing partner serving the telecoms, critical infrastructure, and technology sectors.
The visit highlighted the breadth of capability that exists within Greater Manchester's manufacturing sector, with discussions covering product innovation, skills development, investment and the role regional businesses play in supporting nationally significant infrastructure projects.
Bev was shown several of Constant Group's latest innovations, including its recently developed Exchange Exit Enclosure, a world-first solution created to support Openreach's nationwide fibre network transformation programme. Designed and manufactured in Oldham, the product demonstrates how local engineering expertise can help solve complex challenges on a national scale.
The team also shared details of the company's recent £3 million investment programme, which includes the expansion of its headquarters, investment in advanced manufacturing equipment and plans to significantly increase production capacity to support future growth.

Employing around 100 people, Constant Group continues to invest in its facilities, its workforce and the next generation of manufacturing talent. The company works with customers from concept through to deployment, developing bespoke solutions for sectors including telecommunications, critical infrastructure, retail technology and data centres.
